Holly Sannes grew up in Indianapolis, IN, where she learned how to play the state sport, basketball. She graduated in 2005 from Walla Walla University with Special Education and Elementary Education Degrees. Mission trips have always been special to her heart, and during her senior year of college she went on a mission trip that led her to teach 5th grade in Bangkok, Thailand for 3 years. In 2008, she moved back to Indianapolis where she tutored K-8th grade reading for a year. She finished a Masters in Language Education from Indiana University in December 2010.
In 2009, Ms. Sannes moved to Memphis and began teaching Pre-K and Kindergarten at MJA. In 2014 she began teaching Grades 5 & 6 students and this year transitioned to the Gr. 3-5 Classroom. She loves incorporating Jesus and nature into each subject, and makes each subject as hands-on as possible. Ms. Sannes enjoys being active in church. She also loves to walk her dogs, garden, read, and spend time in nature.
